Camp Extreme Discoveries

Join us as we travel through various extreme environments of our universe.  We will unearth some of the greatest wonders on our voyage!  Experiencing the lives of people in different cultures, habitats, and atmospheres will guide us to discover the true strength of character within ourselves.  Our adventures will take us to the far ends of the universe:  the Arctic Circle, the Rainforests, hidden caves, the deep oceans, and even to outer space. 

Week 1:           Take the Challenge:  The Arctic Circle – A quest for treasure begins in the Arctic Circle.  Cooperation is vital!  Includes field trips to Bruster’s Ice Cream, Railroad Museum, Bowling and so much more!

Week 2:           The Challenge Continues:  The Arctic Circle – Journey through extreme lands to find our treasure.  Includes field trips to the Cooler for ice skating, Atlanta Zoo, Great Harvest Bread Company, sports and water fun and so much more!

Week 3:           The Gems of the Rainforest – Adventures in a faraway land lead to exhilaration and respect. Includes field trips to Georgia Aquarium, Sawnee Mountain, science and water fun and so much more!

Week 4:           The Rainforest Adventure – Our adventure takes us to new cultures of wonder and reliability.  Includes field trips to Roswell Cultural Arts for “Jungle Book”, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, the Shawn Brown show, sports fun and so much more!

Week 5:           Deep Discoveries:  The Rumbling Falls Cave – Survival in the deep caverns requires skill and acumen.  Includes field trips to Crisson Gold Mines, Rock climbing, science and water fun and so much more!

Week 6:           Deep Discoveries:  Iron Hoop Cave – A fantastical exploration guides us to a fragile world few have experienced.  Includes field trips to Fernbank Natural History Museum, Stone Mountain, sports and water fun!

Week 7:           Magnificent Midnight Ocean – Encounter deep-sea creatures on a voyage through the midnight ocean.  Includes field trips to Kani House, Cobb County Youth Museum, Mermaid and Pirate party, science and sports fun and so much more!

Week 8:           Marvelous Midnight Mania – Discover the creatures of the deep sea of Tasmania.  Includes field trips to Gwinnett Environmental Center, Suwanee Towne Center, kickball tournament at Sharon Springs Park, and so much more!

Week 9:           Reach for the Stars! – Space travel enlightens us all!  Includes field trips to Turner Field, Putt Putt golf, water and science fun and so much more!

Week 10:         Go for the Goal! – Discovering the treasure is the ultimate reward.  Includes field trips to Tellus Science Museum and Planetarium, Sims Park, visit from Police Department and K-9 units, carnival days and so much more!
